Sobre mí

Hi, I'm Aurora.

I teach Spanish

because I know what it's like not to speak it.

I'm a Spanish teacher helping complete beginners go from zero to speaking real, everyday
Spanish with confidence.
But before I tell you about how I teach, I want to tell you something more important: I know exactly
what you're going through right now.
Because I've been there myself. More than once.

My story with languages

A few years ago I moved to London to study — and what was supposed to be a short experience
turned into five years of my life.
While I was finishing my studies, I worked all sorts of jobs, and almost without noticing, I learned
English by living it every day.
It wasn’t a perfect process, or a fast one. It was real.
There were moments of confusion, embarrassing mistakes, situations where I wanted to disappear…
but also small breakthroughs that, little by little, changed everything.

That feeling — of trying to say something and not finding the words — is
something I’ve never forgotten. And it’s why I teach the way I do.

How I started teaching Spanish

When I finished my studies, I started working as a teacher in language schools and primary schools
in London.
And it was there that I discovered something I hadn’t expected: teaching languages wasn’t just a
job for me.
I genuinely loved it. Especially that moment — the one where a student suddenly realises they’ve
just understood something new, or said their first proper sentence in another language. That look on
their face. I never got tired of it.

Starting over from zero — again

Then came COVID and Brexit, and I decided to start a new adventure: I moved to Milan.
I arrived in 2020, with all the schools closed, so I had no choice but to start teaching online. At first it
felt strange — even a little unsettling, because I’d never taught from behind a screen before.
But little by little I discovered something that changed how I work: online I could create more
dynamic, more visual, far more personalised classes.
And while I was living in Milan, something important happened to me again.
I learned Italian from scratch.
I felt the frustration all over again. The mental blocks when trying to speak. The feeling of not finding
the words. But also — the joy of slowly starting to understand. Of having a real conversation for the
first time.

Being a language teacher who has to learn a language from zero again is one
of the best things that can happen to you. It reminds you of everything.

Why I teach Spanish the way I do

All of those experiences changed how I teach.
Because now I know very well what it feels like to start a language from zero. The fear of speaking,
the frustration of not progressing fast enough, the moments when you wonder if you’ll ever get
there.
That’s why my classes are designed for beginners who want to learn Spanish calmly, practically,
and without pressure.
We start with what’s useful — real, everyday Spanish. And we move forward step by step, so you
feel more confident each time you speak.

Learning a language isn’t about doing it perfectly. It’s about daring to use it.

A few things about me

Beyond the classes, here are a few small things that are also part of my everyday life.

I'm Spanish, born in Córdoba

and now living in Granada — a beautiful city in the south of Spain.

I lived 9 years abroad

— in London and Milan — where I kept learning new languages and cultures.

I love dancing and I take dance classes,

where — funnily enough — I'm also a beginner. So I never forget what it feels like to learn something new from scratch.

And if there's one thing that can't be missing from my day…

it's a good café con leche.

Something I really believe

I believe learning a language can change a lot of things.
The way you travel. The people you meet. The confidence you feel when you can actually communicate.
But it all starts the same way:

taking the first step.

☕If you'd like to start, let's talk.

If you’re starting out with Spanish and you’re not quite sure where to begin, we can have a virtual
coffee. A relaxed chat to get to know each other, see where you are, and find out how I can help
you.

No pressure. No commitment.
